Winemaker’s notes : This merlot vintage comes from two vineyards in the Russian River Valley, and in the winery¹s neighborhood of Limerick Lane. The Azavedo Ranch and the Alta Donna Vineyard each provided 45% each of the merlot. 10% cabernet sauvignon was blended in from the Larrick Ranch in Dry Creek Valley.

 Tasting Notes : This wine is medium dark ruby with herbal cherry fruit aromas. It is medium bodied, supple, and has a lingering after taste with moderate tannins that round out this merlot. This particular wine is more restrained and merlot-like than other Mietz merlots in the past. It is a very elegant wine.
