Winemaker’s notes:

This 2007 vintage of sauvignon blanc all comes from the Hopkins Ranch on Eastside Road in Healdsburg. It is on the upper end of the Russian River Appellation and these vines go down to the edge of the Russian River. The wine is 100% sauvignon blanc with rich flavors and textures that are in keeping with California wines.

 Our ’07 sauvignon blanc was 80% steel fermented and did not go through malalactic fermentation. 20% was barrel fermented in one year old French barrels and completed malalactic fermentation.

Tasting notes:

The wine is very aromatic with notes of honeysuckle and tropical fruits. The flavors are also tropical in character with a rich melon

Flavor. The creamy and richly textured middle body seamlessly blends into a long crisp middle.
