THE WINE

We have been making Bordeaux varietals with a single varietal approach, such as cabernet sauvignon, merlot and cabernet franc, for quite a few years. Through experimentation in blending the Bordeaux varietals we found some of the blends to be very impressive in structure and balance. This resulted in a wine that the whole was better than the parts. This is how the 2005 claret came about.

WINE MAKING NOTES

The claret is very dark ruby in color. The aromas are cedar and black fruits. The wine in its taste delivers the flavors of cassis and vanilla with a richness of texture that is mouth filling, round and persistent. The drinkability of this wine is from the present to at least 10 years.
