This was our first year of producing chardonnay. The grapes are from Carmine Indindoli’s vineyard on Vine Hill School Road in Sebastopol. He grows delicious pinot noir as well as wonderful chardonnay grapes.

This wine was stainless steel fermented with no malalactic fermentation and aged in neutral barrels for 6 months. The wine is made in more of a chablis style with bright and significant acidity and chardonnay green apple flavors. The style of this wine is definitely not the over the top, buttery, malalactic style.

Because of the lack of malalactic, substantial acidity and a long finish the wine has an extended life in the bottle.

TASTING NOTES

There is no malalactic and the wine is more of a chablis style with bright acidity and chardonnay apple flavors.

With good acid and a long finish on this wine, it will age well.
