   2006 Sauvignon Blanc

This is our fifth vintage of sauvignon blanc.

This year we were able to get all of our fruit from the Hopkins Ranch, in the Russian River Valley. The vineyard is on Eastside Road and gently slopes down to the Russian River.

For sauvignon blanc, the 05 harvest was abundant. The grapes were picked at full ripeness that resulted in non herbaceous flavors. The wine exhibits citrus, melon, and floral tastes and aromas.

Our 05 sauvignon blanc was fermented and aged in 100% stainless steel which helps show the fresh flavors of the fruit. This wine was made in a style that will keep it tasting great for a number of years. It need not be consumed right away, as many white wines must.

320 cases were made. Both the fruit and wine were produced in Healdsburg, California.
